Plain-English guides for first-time AI users
Each guide starts from a real task, shows the steps in order, and marks the points where you should pause and check the result before you rely on it.
The four-step method
Every tutorial follows the same four phases
1. Define the objective
Write down the task, the input you have, and the finished result you need.
2. Choose a tool
Pick the tool that fits the job, then set up your prompt with clear instructions.
3. Draft the output
Run the prompt, then treat the first result as a draft to refine rather than a finished answer.
4. Review the result
Check facts, formatting, and tone before you use or share anything.

Three walk-throughs to start with
Synthesize research notes
Paste your source notes into a tool, ask for the main themes, and then compare each theme against the original sources to confirm nothing was invented or distorted.
Finish by writing a short summary in your own words so you know the findings well enough to explain them.
Draft a document from an outline
Give the tool your outline, audience, and tone. Ask for one section at a time so you can review each part as it appears.
Edit the draft for accuracy, then export the final version to the format you need.
Format a table from raw data
Paste rows of messy data and describe the columns you want. Then check every value against the source before you copy the table anywhere.
Verify totals and labels manually, since a clean layout does not guarantee correct numbers.
Where to pause and check
Every tutorial marks checkpoints where software output needs human review, such as names, figures, quotes, and claims.
Treat those checkpoints as part of the task, not as optional extras.
